Tattoo Stencil Maker
Upload an image. The AI keeps the useful transfer lines and removes the finished rendering.
One free stencil only
What is a tattoo stencil?
A stencil is the temporary transfer guide placed on the skin before tattooing. It is not the finished tattoo: it contains the essential contours, structure lines and placement marks the artist follows while working. Color, lighting, skin texture and realistic shading do not belong in the transfer guide.
What the AI changes
The model uses the uploaded image as a reference, redraws the subject with a clear line hierarchy and removes the background, color, texture and rendered shadows. The result is a cleaner preparation image, but your tattoo artist should still confirm its scale, spacing and placement before using it on skin.
Tattoo stencil FAQ
What is a tattoo stencil?
A tattoo stencil is the transfer guide placed on skin before tattooing. It keeps the essential contours and placement marks the artist needs, without the finished color, texture or realistic shading.
Is my image uploaded?
Yes. The image is sent to the AI generation service to create the stencil. For the free pre-signup generation, the clean result is stored privately until you access your account.
Which images convert well into a stencil?
A clear drawing, flash design or well-lit tattoo photo gives the AI the strongest reference. Busy backgrounds, heavy blur and hidden parts of the design leave more decisions for the model.
Can I print this stencil at the right size?
Not from this page. Printing at an exact centimetre size, across multiple sheets with cut marks and a calibration bar, happens in the Stencil studio after you sign in. The PNG here has no physical size attached to it.
Do I need to mirror the stencil before transferring it?
Yes, if you are applying it with thermal or transfer paper, because the paper flips the image against the skin. Mirroring and thermal purple ink are studio features, not part of this free converter.
Can I bring this to a tattoo artist?
Bring it as a reference. Your artist should still confirm line weight, spacing, scale and placement before transferring it to skin.
